Big Banana Split
The Sundae at the Big Banana was specifically recommended to me by a work acquaintance who I shall refer to as Tom, who quote unquote told me that it was one of the best bananas that he had ever had. Whilst I cannot fully support this sentiment, I do have to say that this is indeed the best way to enjoy a humble cavendish banana. Whilst the serving sizes are indeed enormous, I would estimate that the serving size I had received would be best suited for a group of four people or at least two big eaters, but I must insist that I had deliberately ordered a larger serving due to my own inherent greed.
The bananas themselves were indeed exquisite with a great starch to sweetness ratio that allowed for an excellent ‘double contrast’ of sorts with the Ice Cream. The Ice cream that was served with the split consisted of two scoops of Vanilla, and two scoops of what I believe was honeycomb but I could be mistaken. These were excellent flavour pairings although there were certainly plenty more to choose from and I am sure that there is a myriad of flavour combinations that would be as equally great if not even better.
Whilst I won’t necessarily say that this banana split is the best that the banana filled world has to offer, if you are going to the Big Banana this would 100% be the product I would recommend to get whilst you’re there even if you don’t get the opportunity to eat anything else. As a result it scores highly on this edition of reviews+.
